When SA Gaming held its annual SA Euro event mid last year, one of the main highlights was Live Speed Baccarat Euro. It's a live baccarat game streamed in HD quality, supporting portrait and landscape modes. Speed Baccarat Euro maintains the same game rules as the classic baccarat game bar the addition of a super-fast countdown of only 10 seconds per round. So can you handle this speed?

Live Speed Baccarat Euro by SA Gaming

What is Live Speed Baccarat Euro?

This live game, Speed Baccarat by SA Gaming doesn't take anything away from the classic baccarat game. As such, the game is played using eight decks, with each deck housing 52 cards. You'll also notice that the game is streamed in a crowded studio, something that's like a trademark in most of SA Gaming's live casino games.

The main objective in Speed Baccarat is to predict if the Player or Banker side will have a card value closer to 9 or 8. Remember that most cards in this baccarat game represent their face values, except Aces representing 1.

In addition, card values of at least 10 count as 0. And if the card total is more than 10, only the last value stands. So, for example, if it's 13, the total score is 3.

Lastly, a Tie is if both hands end up with identical totals. By the way, this is a valid betting option in all live baccarat games. Remember that you place bets before the cards are dealt. You can also bet on side wagers, as you'll see later.

Speed Baccarat Euro payouts and odds

Again, there is no noticeable change as the payouts remain the same with standard baccarat. Gamers can predict that the Player hand wins and get an even-money payout of 1:1.

But if you stake your money on the Banker's hand, the payout is less at 0.95:1. That's because you have a 45.86% chance of winning this bet compared to 44.62 % on the Player bet. Thus, these bets have 1.06% and 1.24% house edges, respectively.

Note, however, that a 5% house commission applies on all Banker bet wins in Speed Baccarat Euro. But you can skip this by selecting "No Commission," which reduces your payout to 0.50:1. So, avoid this 'sucker' bet whenever you can.

Meanwhile, you enjoy a higher payout of 8:1 by correctly predicting a Tie. However, the chances of doing that are low at 9.52%. The house edge is even worse at 14.36%. But if you can successfully risk the maximum 500 credits, that can give you a decent payout.

Speed Baccarat Euro side bets

Side bets are a mainstay in most live baccarat games. They provide some sort of excitement since the payout in side bets is usually higher. Also, the live online casinos make a windfall from these bets because the house edge is generally higher than what's on the main bets.

SA Gaming's live baccarat version has up to three side bets for added fun. Below is a brief overview:

  • Player/Banker Pair: You need to predict that the first two cards dealt are a pair. And it doesn't matter whether the pair is in either position. The payout in this side bet is 1:1.
  • Lucky 6: This side bet is only available when you play with the "No Commission" rule. As the name suggests, this bet predicts a hand total of 6. Lucky 6 has a 12:1 payout if the Banker wins and a 20:1 payout if the Banker wins with three cards.
  • Banker/Player Natural: Lastly, you can predict that either side wins with a natural. In baccarat, this is when a hand wins with two cards totaling 9 or 8.

Speed Baccarat Euro bonus features

There's nothing extraordinary about this live baccarat game as it follows the standard baccarat rules. However, its primary shining point is the fleeting nature of betting rounds. You'll need at least 30 seconds to place a bet in a traditional baccarat game. But Speed Baccarat reduces this margin to 10 to 20 seconds. This is excellent news as your bankroll won't deplete faster than usual.

Another eye-catching feature of this game is the baccarat roadmaps. With this feature, gamers can easily track the past 100 results. In addition to that, the roadmaps highlight the hot/cold numbers and other players' trends. But beyond that, Speed Baccarat Euro is relatively familiar.

Speed Baccarat Euro final thoughts

For the greenhorns, Speed Baccarat Euro is just another live baccarat game. The fact that it doesn't have the trendy side bet multipliers even makes it worse. But for the gurus, making a baccarat bet in record-shuttering 10 seconds is excellent news.

This live casino game also makes up for the lack of multipliers with a maximum bet amount of 500 coins. But, of course, you'll need a big budget to use that. But all in all, it's perfect if you're looking for something straightforward and fun.
